Paul Klocke grew up in Buffalo, New York where he began his dance training at the American Academy of Ballet under Maris Battaglia. Upon graduating high school, he moved to New York City to continue his training at the Dance Theatre of Harlem under the direction of Karel Shook and Arthur Mitchell. He later joined the Pennsylvania Ballet Company in 1974 and toured and performed with them until 1980. Consequent to his time with the Pennsylvania Ballet, he taught within the Tri-State Area for years prior to opening his own school in 1987. His continued passion for teaching dance stems from a love of nurturing young people and building confidence through dance.
